About Dunblane Cathedral
Dunblane Cathedral, in the town of Dunblane, belongs to the Church of Scotland. Its oldest part is the bottom half of the tower, pre-Romanesque work of the eleventh century that first stood on its own; the upper part was added in the fifteenth century. Most of the remainder is Gothic of the thirteenth century. Between 1889 and 1893 Robert Rowand Anderson restored the building and gave the nave a new roof. It is a Category A listed building.
