About Woodbridge Tide Mill
Woodbridge Tide Mill in Woodbridge, Suffolk, is one of the few tide mills whose water wheel still turns, and it can still grind wholemeal flour. The three-storey timber building is clad outside in white Suffolk boarding under a gambrel roof, and its machinery shows what the early Industrial Revolution could achieve. Preserved and open to the public, it is Grade I listed. The original 7-acre reservoir is now a marina; a smaller one of about half an acre was made for demonstrations.
