Snowy winter illustration of Wakefield Cathedral: the Gothic east end with pinnacles and its tall spire, with steps in front, in falling snow.
A winter drawing of Wakefield Cathedral, made from a real photograph of the real place with a light fall of snow added for the season. The artwork is an AI interpretation, not a documentary photograph; details can differ from the original.
About Wakefield Cathedral
Wakefield Cathedral, the Cathedral Church of All Saints, stands in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It was once the parish church and has Anglo-Saxon origins. After being enlarged and rebuilt, it now has the tallest spire in Yorkshire: at 247 feet (75 m), nothing in the City of Wakefield is taller. Today it is one of three equal cathedrals in the Diocese of Leeds, alongside Bradford and Ripon, and one of the seats of the Bishop of Leeds. George Gilbert Scott is recorded among its architects, and it was listed at Grade I on 14 July 1953.
