See our earlier sample in a real homeBurnham-on-Sea Low Lighthouse, Somerset — drawn in our Retro Railway style from a real photograph of the real place, reimagined with AI.
Retro railway-poster illustration of the Low Lighthouse, Burnham-on-Sea, a wooden lighthouse with a white and dark red striped body on tall legs and a side staircase, standing on wet sand reflected in a pool, with the sea and a cloudy sky behind.
The Low Lighthouse stands on the foreshore at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset. It is one of the town's three historic lighthouses and the only one still working. First lit in 1832, it worked as a pair with the High Lighthouse on shore for 137 years. In 1969, once the High Lighthouse had been improved, the Low Lighthouse was switched off, but in 1993 it was brought back into use and the High Lighthouse was retired instead. Built of wood and standing 9 metres high, it has long been called the Lighthouse on Legs; an 1859 guide book records children on the sands using the name. It is Grade II listed.
