About Church of St Lawrence, Alton
The Church of St Lawrence is an Anglican parish church in the Hampshire town of Alton. It stands out for two reasons. One is the wide range of architecture found in the building, which includes Norman work. The other is its part in the English Civil War: the final fighting of the Battle of Alton took place at the church. It is listed at Grade I.
