About The Pantiles
In Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, the Pantiles is a colonnade of Georgian date, starting at the well from which the town takes its name. Once known as The Walks and as the (Royal) Parade, it grew up after a chalybeate spring was found here in 1606, and it now draws many visitors. As of 2022 it was lined with cafés, bars, restaurants, art galleries and specialist shops, and a farmers market was held outside every other Saturday. In summer, jazz bands play on the bandstand and draw hundreds of people.
