About Rotherham Minster
Rotherham Minster, also called All Saints, is the Anglican minster of Rotherham in South Yorkshire and a fine example of Perpendicular Gothic. Architectural historians think highly of it: Nikolaus Pevsner counted it among Yorkshire's largest and stateliest churches, Simon Jenkins rated it the county's best work, and Alec Clifton-Taylor called it the 'glory of Rotherham'. Its tall spire makes it the town's most prominent landmark and one of the tallest churches in Yorkshire. Grade I listed since 1951, it gained minster status in 2004, and it is one of only two parish churches in South Yorkshire with that title; the other is Doncaster Minster.
