About Luton Town Hall
Luton Town Hall stands where George Street, Upper George Street and Manchester Street meet in Luton. The building there now was completed in 1936. It replaced an older town hall on the same site, which burned down on 19 July 1919 after the Peace Day Riots. Luton Borough Council is based here, and the hall carries Grade II listing.
